This new page last updated 27 September 2019. It is a "work in progress". Please do visit again soon. We will be sharing some of the benefits that grateful customers have discovered - and enthusiastically told us about - simply by using this CD ...
There is no magic involved. Please, read on...
Well, hello there...
I am guessing that you came here from the New Zealand Trademe site, no doubt to learn some more about the CD I am selling there - the one labelled "Sleep ~ Blessed Sleep".
You have come to the right place.
According to feedback from happy Trademe customers, when I last sold these some years ago, the sound of the sea shushing against the shoreline at Cave Rock, Christchurch New Zealand is a very relaxing and calming sound [back then I titled the CDs "Whisperings of the Pacific" and described the sound as a natural source of "white noise"]
All of that description from back then, remains absolutely accurate today. The only difference is ~ I have re-labelled the identical CD sound to call attention to the harassed mothers out there who could use a little help to ease an over-tired grumpy baby into a quiet relaxed state - ready for that "blessed sleep".
Quick note for adults, this carefully recorded, natural "white noise" sound, has the effect of easing the stresses of the modern lifestyle, helping you find that inner peace and tranquility once more. Played in your bedroom at night, it can be an effective sleep aid as it mentally transports your bedroom to a place near the seaside. You listen to the "waves lapping on the shore" nearby - the very thing to assist the worn-out person into refreshing sleep.
All that the babies need, is a mechanism to help them throw off their irritable mood. The poor little one does not know that he/she is tired and needs to sleep. This is where mother comes to the rescue with a CD player and the "Sleep, Blessed Sleep" CD, playing in the Little One's room.
How Loud should the CD be? In the first minute or two, that probably depends on the baby. The baby has to hear the sound, maybe over some fairly loud protests of its own. But keep yourself near to the volume control. As the baby quietens down, you may want to turn the CD sound down.
Baby should hear it, but you don't want the CD at full blast once baby is beginning to quiet.
